Web scraping for leads

A clean list of the businesses you actually want to work with

Targeted B2B prospect lists built from public business sources, enriched, de-duplicated and delivered as CSV or into your CRM.

What is web scraping for leads?

Web scraping for leads means collecting publicly listed business information, like business names, categories, locations, websites and published contact details, from public sources, then cleaning it into a list of prospects that match who you sell to. For example, every commercial builder in a region, or property managers in a set of suburbs.

Done properly, it saves days of manual searching. Done carelessly, it creates privacy and spam problems. We focus on business information, not personal data, and on lists you can use within the rules.

What's included

  • Targeted criteria

We agree on industry, location, size and other filters so the list fits your ideal customer.

  • Public business sources

Only publicly available business information, such as business directories and company websites.

  • Enrichment

Fields like website, category, location and published business contact details, where publicly available.

  • De-duplication and cleaning

Duplicates removed, formats tidied and obviously bad records filtered out.

  • CSV or CRM delivery

A clean spreadsheet, or imported straight into your CRM, including the Getinto pipeline.

  • Compliant outreach advice

Practical guidance on contacting prospects within Australian privacy and spam rules.

How it works

  1. Define the target

We agree who belongs on the list and which sources are appropriate.

  2. Collect

We gather public business information, respecting each site's terms and robots rules.

  3. Clean and enrich

We de-duplicate, tidy and check the records, and note where each came from.

  4. Deliver

You get a CSV or a CRM import, plus notes on using the list compliantly.

Doing this within the rules

We only collect publicly available business information, and we respect website terms of use and robots rules. We don't scrape behind logins or collect sensitive personal information.

Some business contact details, like a named person's email, can still be personal information under the Privacy Act 1988, so how you store and use the list matters. If you plan to email prospects, the Spam Act 2003 applies to commercial messages: you need consent (in some cases it can be inferred from a conspicuously published business address relevant to your offer), you must clearly identify your business, and every message needs a working unsubscribe. We'll advise on a compliant approach, but this isn't legal advice, so check with your own adviser if you're unsure.

  • Public business information only
  • Site terms and robots rules respected
  • Privacy Act and Spam Act aware

Common questions

Is web scraping legal in Australia?

Collecting publicly available business information can be lawful, but it depends on the source, the site's terms and what you do with the data. We stick to public business sources, respect site terms and robots rules, and advise on compliant use. For your specific situation, get legal advice.

Can I email everyone on the list?

Not automatically. Under the Spam Act 2003, commercial emails need consent, which can sometimes be inferred when a business has conspicuously published its address and your offer is relevant to its role. Every email must identify you and include an unsubscribe option. We'll help you plan outreach that fits these rules.

What information is on the list?

Business details that are publicly available, such as business name, category, location, website and published business contact details. We don't collect sensitive information or data from behind logins.

Can you guarantee the data is perfect?

No list is perfect, because businesses change details all the time. We clean and de-duplicate carefully and tell you where each record came from, so you can judge it.
