Custom software builds

Software shaped around your business, not the other way round

When templates don't fit, we design and build the system your trade business actually needs.

When does a trade business need custom software?

When you're bending your process to fit an app, or paying staff to copy data between three systems. Common signs: pricing too complex for a standard quote builder, clients who want their own portal, compliance reports built by hand each month, or a supplier or head contractor system you need to connect to. Custom software fixes the specific bottleneck instead of adding another subscription.

What we build

  • Customer and strata portals

Clients log in to see job status, approve quotes, download certificates and pay invoices.

  • Pricing and quoting engines

Your exact pricing rules, from roof pitch calculators to solar system sizing, turned into instant quotes.

  • Compliance and reporting

Test and tag, gas and electrical certificates, and audit-ready reports generated automatically.

  • Integrations

Connect supplier catalogues, head contractor platforms, fleet tracking or your accounting system.

  • Internal tools and dashboards

Live views of revenue, crew utilisation and job profit, built from your own data.

  • Mobile apps

Field apps for iPhone and Android designed for gloves, glare and patchy reception.

How a custom build runs

  1. Discovery

We spend time with you and your crew to map the real process and the problem worth solving.

  2. Fixed scope and quote

You get a written scope, a fixed price and a timeline before any code is written.

  3. Build in fortnightly releases

You see working software every two weeks and can change priorities as you go.

  4. Launch and support

We train your team, monitor the system and keep it updated under a support plan.

Built on a platform that already works

Most custom builds start from the Getinto platform: quoting, scheduling, invoicing and accounting sync are already done. You pay to build only what's unique to your business, which keeps the cost and the risk down.

Custom build questions

How much does custom software cost for a trade business?

It depends on scope. Small integrations and calculators often start in the low thousands, while customer portals and full custom systems are larger projects. We give a fixed-price quote after a discovery session, so you know the cost before work starts.

How long does a custom build take?

Small tools and integrations usually take two to six weeks. Larger systems like customer portals take two to four months. You see working software every fortnight, so you're never waiting until the end to find out if it's right.

Who owns the software and the data?

You own your data at all times and can export it whenever you like. Ownership of custom code is set out in the scope agreement, and we can provide full source code ownership where needed.
